Mechanism and Movement.

Several mechanisms exist: automatic, quartz, Asian, Japanese, and Swiss. Just like you would do when buying a car, check under the hood of your replica watch. The top two movements, in order, are: Swiss ETA and Japanese. When researching Miyota watches, a Grade One Japanese replica has an automatic movement genuine that is Miyota 21-jewel. They are assembled in Japan or Asia but the mechanism is always made in Japan.

By the way, if you read of a 31- or 33-jewel movement, you're being scammed, because they don't exist. "Jewels" here describes the minuscule gear increments that move the hands of the watch. Like more pixels on a computer screen, more jewels make the watch run more smoothly. This Miyota movement gives the watch a second hand that sweeps around the dial without the traditional tick-tock sound. Another feature of Miyota watches is the crown. When you pull out the crown to adjust the time, the genuine hacking mechanism will stop the second hand. If this does not occur, you're looking at a cheap imitation. Without a genuine Miyota mechanism, you run the risk if unreliable movement. Find out the manufacturer, read opinions of their customers, and if possible, get a guarantee with your purchase.

Miyotas are known for durability and precision, and replicas without the genuine movement inside could stop working in as little as 12 months. Replicas made in Japan with genuine Miyota movements are the only ones that will give satisfaction.
